Tony and Sam moved to Fairfield Connecticut so Tony could give Sam a better life. He wanted a better
for her than what she was getting in Brooklyn. Tony's wife and Sam's mother Marie had died several years
before. It was a rough road for both Tony and Sam. Tony realized his little girl needed better and so he packed the two of them
up and they loved on to Fairfield where Tony took a job as Angela Bower's housekeeper. Sam did indeed get
a better life, but little did Tony know at first, but so did he. Tony and Angela developed a deep friendship and eventually a love
relationship and had a mother figure in her life.
Tony tended to be a little over protective of Sam, especially when it came to boys. All along the way, there were situations in
which Tony had to accept the fact that his little girl was growing up. Eventually one day he had to turn her over to a man.
it was the day Sam and her boyfriend Hank, decided to get married. Tony as totally against it at first but he had to accept that
this was what Sam wanted to do and he told Hank that he had better take care of his (Tony's) little girl.
I especially appreciate the relationship that Tony and Sam had because I grew up without a father and appreciate seeing loving
relationships between fathers and their daughters.
