NCIS: DiNozzo, Gibbs, McGee, and Kate
I used to despise NCIS, but now thanks to my dear sweet mother, I am hooked on it. :) And the relationship that DiNozzo (portrayed by
Michael Weatherly), Gibbs (portrayed by Mark Harmon), McGee (portrayed by Sean Murray), and Kate (portrayed by Sasha Alexander) shared
is one of my most favorite parts of the show. From day one, these four were like family. They all had their own unique personalities. They
gave each other a hard time in a friendly way and they could also get on each other's nerves, but they were a team. They cared about each
other just a like a family and that is why I named this fanlisting "Like Family". If anyone messed with one of them, the others were always
there to defend them and stand up for them. For example, in the second season eppie, 2.22 SWAK, Tony received a letter and upon opening it,
some white powder came out that turned out to be a plague virus. After all of them had showered and burned their clothes, they were tested
to see if they had contracted the virus. Then Kate and DiNozzo were sent to a make shift hospital there at NCIS for observation. Kate was
sent with DiNozzo because she had a cold and could have been more susceptible to the virus. As it turned out, all but DiNozzo tested negative
for the virus. Even though she tested negative and even though she was urged to leave, Kate insisted on staying with DiNozzo. As Gibbs and McGee
worked hard to find the person responsible for the virus and as DiNozzo got sicker, Kate grew more and more scared he was gonna die. Close to
the end when DiNozzo had a bad coughing attack, Kate started crying and walked out into the corridor and as Ducky hugged her, she cried on his
shoulder and said, "He's dying". About that time, Gibbs comes walking in and says, "The heck he is". By this time, the virus and "killed" over
and DiNozzo was no longer contagious. So Gibbs goes in and walks over to DiNozzo's bed side and tells him very plainly, "You will not die". DiNozzo
was so weak that he didn't even respond. Then Gibbs kind of popped him on the top of his head and he comes to and Gibbs says once again, "You
will not die". And as well as he could, DiNozzo responds, "Gotcha, Boss".
So no matter what came their way, you could always count on them being there for each other.
