I am so thrilled to be running this fanlisting. I have always loved the relationship Lucy and Kevin shared. One of the things I loved best is
they set a wonderful example in how they related to each other.
Lucy and Kevin met when Lucy went with Mary to New York when Mary moved in to Wilson's old apartment and was getting ready to start her career
as a flight attendant for an airline. Mary had been dating Kevin's brother, Ben, somewhat and they had broken up because Ben thought Mary
wasn't over Wilson and he couldn't deal with that. On this trip, Mary was determined to patch things up with Ben and get back together with him.
On the trip over, Lucy had been pitching a fit about different things. Once landing in Buffalo, she accidentally left her purse sitting alone and
found out that airport security took it to be destroyed as a precaution because of all the events that took place on 9/11. Lucy through a fit and
made a not nice joke and got arrested there in the airport. So while she and Mary were waiting to get released from airport security, Lucy made
the comment she'd like to meet the idiot that thought her purse was a security threat. Lo and behold, in walks Kevin and Lucy softens into a puddle
of mush. Kevin rescued Lucy's purse from being destroyed and Lucy and Mary were released and nothing further was done.
From there Lucy and Kevin made plans for a date. Kevin brought Ben along for a double date; although Ben didn't know it was Mary. Although it seemed
disastrous at first, Mary and Ben got back together and everyone had a good time that night.
From that point on, Lucy and Kevin seemed to fall deeper in love. Kevin ended up transferring to Glen Oak and moved in with the Camden's into the
garage apartment. It seemed from the get go, Lucy wanted to get engaged. They almost did when Eric had heart surgery but Kevin said he didn't want
to do it there in the hospital cafeteria and that he wanted to do it his way and when he did, he was gonna knock Lucy's socks off. But first he
wanted to ask Eric's permission. Lucy thought that was romantic. Of course Eric consented. :)
Then on Valentine's Day, Kevin did indeed knock Lucy's socks off. At first Lucy had a nightmare that his police partner, Roxanne, was gonna ruin
everything. But Lucy got what she had been wanting for a while. Kevin rented a party room at a hotel and invited the whole family along with
Simon's girlfriend, Cecilia, and Ruthie's little friend, Peter, and his own mother and Ben, to be a part.
They ended marrying two months later so Kevin's mother could be there as she was getting married herself and was going on some kind of tour for six
months.
A little while before their two year anniversary, Lucy gave birth to their first child, a daughter they named Savannah.
Despite all the hardships they faced, they loved each other and stuck by each other through everything.
