HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA

Hollywood is a district located in west-northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Even though is was not the usual custom to make boundries for certain neighborhoods or districts, Hollywood became the exception. It was just recently that a bill was introduced that would require California to keep "specific records on Hollywood" as if it was on its own. For more information, please click here.

Hollywood has been noted as the cinema of the United States. When one hears of Hollywood, they almost always think of movie studios and television entertainment. Even though motion pictures can still be made in Hollywood, the majority of the bigger studios are located at other places in the Los Angeles area. The Paramount Studios is the one major studio that is still located in the Hollywood district. Other studios that are still there are Jim Henson studios (formerly known as Chaplin), Sunset Gower studios, and Raleigh studios.

While there is way more to be said about Hollywood, there just isn't enough room here to say it all. I encourage everyone to click here and read Wikipedia's information on Hollywood as there is oodles of information. I also encourage everyone to visit there someday if you haven't already. :)
